Objective
Design Week in 2019 featured guest speakers and workshops relating to many areas of design that were not solely graphic design—sustainable design, clothing design, industrial design, 3D printing—just to name a few. The branding of this year's event ideally reflected the intersection of the various that meet at the intersection of design.
Approach
Represent different facets and areas of design coming together by creating nodes within the letters of "DESIGN WEEK." Maintain a trendy yet not "overdone" aesthetic to attract others who may not be familiar with the world of design, as this event is open to everyone. Keep the visual language relating to design, creating a friendly attitude, and representing areas of design with layering and nodes.
